Anyone who believes their USPA skydiving education on this topic is adequate, needs to consider that the USPA standards for instruction and progression for canopy flight are decades behind.

The Great Book of BASE is widely considered to be the bible of BASE jumping and covers a broad range of topics from student progression to wingsuit terrain flying. It’s tough to justify BASE jumping without having read this book cover to cover.

Understanding the Sky is a comprehensive guide to micrometeorology. It’s a dense book, but taken slow gives the reader a great understanding of the micro-climates in which BASE jumpers operate.
